MANAGEMENT

CEO
Trilingual Scandinavian (educated in the UK and Finland) and 10+ years of work experience in Tokyo, Timo Halonen covers both wireless semiconductor as well as medical device and pharmaceutical ingredients industries for Asia Business Advisor.

Timo served as a Country Manager for a Finnish medical device (electronic and manual pipettors) & laboratory diagnostics (monoclonal antibodies) company in Japan. His responsibilities included devising new priority and compensation structure for distributor network, and the development of technology partnerships in Japan.

Prior to that he spearheaded Client Group responsible for both new client acquisition as well as existing client base management & support for one of the largest IT-search firms in Japan ensuring team and company targets were completed well ahead of time. Clients included established Fortune 500 companies, and particularily European and North-American wireless startup/venture companies looking to expand into the Japanese market.

Timo is a Sales & Business Development Professional with Degrees in Marketing from the HML Institute of Information Technology & Business (Finland); MA Political Science from the University of Turku (Finland); and MA Japanese from the University of Essex (UK). Timo lives with his family in Tokyo.


Greg Flood
Managing Director of Marketing and Business Development
Greg Flood has been instrumental over the last 12 years developing and bringing to market leading edge wireless and semiconductor companies into the Japanese marketplace.
 
As a managing director, Greg provides expert knowledge to start-ups and venture capital firms. He is responsible for all of Asia Business Advisor’s marketing and business development activities across North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Most recently, Greg moved to Canada to direct the company’s expansion activities.
 
He brings a wealth of OEM, vendor and channel sales experience. Prior to that, he served as a director of business development in wireless communications and semiconductor at a leading executive search company based in Tokyo; managing the company’s growth activities.
 
Greg is a Business Graduate from the University of Ryerson, Canada.
