Executive Summary:

Information and Communication technologies Executive with strong understanding of both software and hardware, as well as business development in Japan.

Work Experience:

Management of Computer Systems (Software, Hardware, OS Management). 32 years of work experience at NEC. Product Development Division Management.

Speciality:

Strong Management and Business Network of Executives in Japan, including NEC.

Detailed Resume:

I joined NEC Corp. on April 1,1976.

First I worked on S/W development of communication control of DIPS 104-02 OS; Denden Kosha Imformation Processing Operating System.

DIPS OS development team was consisted of 3 companies ; NEC, Hitachi and Fujitsu.

I was in charge of development communication protocol modules, especially the first “message transfer protocol stack” in Japan.
This grew up to become “MTPP(Message transfer Protocol package” for NTT’s DCNA model (OSI 7_layers model).
104-02 OS was adopted by L-system for the Ministry of Labor and many other Government systems.

In 1984, I moved to the 2nd OA Division in order to better understand the whole computer systems.
In the 2nd OA Division, I first worked on “Data management software” for NEC office-processor, N6300 series. First I systematically improved “Data management software” and resolved important CGMT-problems of “TOYOTA ATOM system”.

Then I have also grappled with the same improvement for NEC office computer “N100” and NEC personal computer “N5200”.
After that I run Data management group of the 2nd OA Division.

While in the 2nd OA Division, I desiged “ mid-term Software strategy” from 1985. After that I recognized the importance of S/W quality.
In 1988, I was in charge of the entire S/W development group of “PC9800 series” and re-organized S/W development group including its subsidiary's S/W teams.

Since 1992, NEC and Microsoft have been involved joint development of new unified Windows OS and our engineers have been staying at the Microsoft Campus.

Over 50 engineers have been engaged in that project and have greatly contributed to the Microsoft new Windows(even now a few engineers in Redmond.

This collaboration with Microsoft result in Windows98  and Windows2000, finally result in unified Windows, WindowsXP in 2001.

Since 1998, I’ve been engaged in S/W business development for the consumer market as a member of top management; I shipped a lot of new production such as TV-tuner S/W, Voice recognize S/W and so on.

I was transfered to the Mobile Terminal Business Unit in October 2001 and run the S/W Development Division.
The number of software engineers had rapidly grew at that time and we had more than 2000 engineers over two years period and it was practical impossible to control their understanding of our development style. I had to design mid-term strategy of S/W development so as to rebuild our development organization and to expand our mobile business.

In March 2003, I was transferd to the semiconductor company NEC Electoronics, to make S/W strategy for the System LSI. “the platformOViA business model” is one of my contributions to NEC Electoronics.
