LCD:

  • At ATI technologies, worked on the graphic chips for Notebook PCs, which interface to the LCDs mainly via LVDS interface. Had communication with various LCD manufacturers to solve issues, exchange roadmap etc. Manufacturers include TMD, Hitachi, IDtech (IBM), Samsung, LG.
  • Also did fine tune Video BIOSes/graphic driver to adjust timing for specific LCD panel.


DVI:

  • Graphic subsystems also required to interface with monitors via DVI. Has detailed knowledge in this area/communicated with various monitor manufacturers include Nanao, Tokin, Mitsubishi.


DisplayPort:

  • ATI is one of the core member of DisplayPort consortium. Worked very closely with headquarter marketing staff to promote DisplayPort into Japan market.
  • Attended VESA-J regular monthly meetings several times to explain graphic trend, DisplayPort - know key members of display industries.

Sales manager (Sep 07~Present)

  • Mainly covering PC OEMs in Japan, including Toshiba, Lenovo, Panasonic, NEC.
  • Acting as Toshiba WW account manager. Working very closely with sales/FAE in Taiwan/Shanghai for Toshiba ODM and Taiwan Design center, increased share over competitor and secured $40M sales for FY08. Work very closely with Toshiba engineers, product planning group to implement gesture functions into touch pads for CY09 spring models and secured business throughout CY09.
  • For Fujitsu, succeeded to implement gesture functions and expanded share and reduced competitor down to one model.  For 09 models, Fujitsu already decided to use the same pads.
  • Started to promote our products to Panasonic group since June 08, including Mobile phone group. Several projects are now at bidding stage.

Senior Product Marketing Manager, GPU Product Marketing (Nov 06~Aug 07)

  • On Oct 26 ‘06, ATI has merged with AMD. Due to this transaction, Japan local branch has been re-organized, and title/group has changed.
  • New responsibility stays almost the same; covering ex-ATI products (graphic processor products, Integrated graphic processors)
  • Coordinate activities on product promotion around Windows Vista launch, new product launch (AMD 690). These include press event coordination, presentation material preparation, press release, product promotion, demo setup. Especially did main presenter on AMD 690 launch.
